“As long as you are in conscious contact with your inner body,

you are like a tree that is deeply rooted in the earth,

or a building with a deep and solid foundation.”

Q:  What is Deep Embodyment™?

Deep Embodyment is a technique that redirects awareness into your body’s energy field… into what feels like the life force animating you.

Q:  This sounds like some sort of meditation.  Is it meditation?

It’s similar to traditional meditation because awareness is directed away from thinking.  But unlike traditional meditation, the only goal is to feel your energy field, which can only be felt in the present moment.

Q:  So, this technique blocks thinking in order to keep me present, right?

The goal is to feel your energy field… nothing else.  However, when you center awareness on the present moment sensation of your energy field, past and future thinking naturally loses focus.  With your focus withdrawn, thinking drifts to the outer edge of awareness, or fades completely.

Q:  The figure above is in an office.  I thought this was a solitary practice.

The technique is learned in solitary.  But once learned, the technique becomes portable and can be used “on demand” out in the busy world.

Q:  How does it reduce stress in my daily life?  I need to think out there.

The key is pairing a complete natural breath with a shift in awareness.  In solitary, a series of such breaths draws you deep into your energy field.  But out in your busy life, a single breath gives thinking a brief time-out.

Q:  What’s a “time-out” from thinking and how does it relate to stress?

Out in the world, stress can spike when thinking is the continuous focus of awareness, and body sensations fade to the edge of awareness.  But with the technique, one breath pulls your body’s energy field into focus.  And thinking fades to the edge of awareness long enough to dial down stress.

Q:  What’s “projected thinking” and how does it relate to my body?

Thinking is projected when you experience thoughts –- and your thought-based identity –- at the very front of your body, or out in the world.

Q:  My thoughts are in my head.  What’s the evidence for this projection?

Thoughts may have no objective location.  The technique explores where thoughts are subjectively experienced.  As you practice, you may feel your awareness seem to “step back” from thinking.  This will be the evidence.

Q:  What’s a “thought-based identity” and how does it relate to thinking?

You identify primarily with non-stop thinking as it dominates awareness.  This identity is an ongoing story, not a true sense of self… not a sensation.

Like a movie, this identity projects you into the past or future scenarios, isolating you from sensing yourself in real time.  This is the start of stress.

The technique reveals a deeper identity… you as a sensation anchored in the here of inner space energy and the now of the present moment.

This technique is offered free of charge.
